Bliss

The boy looks over the edge of the cliff. He can see his fears waiting for him at the bottom. Before he jumps, he has one last wish. He simply wants to be forgiven, to be freed of guilt and pain. Until now the pain is what kept him going, made him stronger. But now he is broken and the last of his faith shattered along with those blissful memories. Memories of a world where happiness was an emotion, not an object to obtained or given away. Reality seethes over these blessed memories. Before taking the final plunge he remembers one last thing. On the tip of his tongue he whispers ” Ignorance is Bliss”.
