I know I’m a few weeks late, but I finally got a chance to watch the last two episodes of Almost Human. Let me just say that while I do love a lot about this show this episode and it’s plot in particular was pretty average.
In this episode Detectives Kennex and Dorian hunt down a serial killer who targets attractive people for specific features. When one of the victims turns out to be “chrome” or genetically modified perfect human Detective Stahl decides to assist as well. I thought this was interesting because previously chromes were not a big part of the show.
As always Dorian was great and the relationship between him and John are really the best part of this series.
I liked the message of beauty isn’t everything and actually sympathize with the killer who just wanted to be loved. He tried so hard to be perfect but in the end the woman he loved was blind so it did not matter. I found the message simple but deep.
This message also ties in with Kennex finally making a move on Stahl, only to be late to the game. I really felt bad for the guy.
Anyways I really wish the show would go back to the plot introduced in the first episode. The whole thing with Anna and Insyndicate has had me curious all season.
